2nd gen BHAF

This is a simple "BHAF" (big honkin air filter) setup on my 2nd gen Dodge Ram Cummins turbodiesel truck.

I ordered the following parts from airflowonline.com:

Code Name Quantity Price/Ea.
45HL4 Rubber Intake Elbow 45 Degree 4" 1 $10.70
90HL4SL Rubber Intake Elbow 90 Degree 4" 1 $14.25
AF-400 T-Bolt Clamp for 4" ID Intake Hoses 1 $4.43
AL4 Aluminum Intake Tubing 4" OD 1 $7.19

I used a high quality T-bolt clamp at the turbo and 99 cent clamps from Home Depot everywhere else. The 90 degree bend goes right on the turbo. I used the piece of 4" OD aluminum piping to connect the 90 degree angle rubber elbow to the 45 degree angle rubber elbow. From shopdiesel.com, I ordered "Replacement filter for 75-10272" which is PN 72-90009. This is a Proguard-7 reusable filter and the cost was $69 + $8 S/H. I chose this filter because it has a 4" inlet. The larger filters would be nice, but have 4.5" inlets which would not fit right over the 4" OD aluminum piping. Total cost was about $120.
